Secret Service Skimmer “Show & Tell”

William Wind, Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge in the OKC Secret Service Field Office will be presenting on card skimmers, including devices seized from criminals.

About William Wind:

Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge William Wind began his Secret Service career in 1997 as a special agent in the Tulsa (OK) Resident Agency. He worked there until 2001 when he was reassigned to the Forensic Services Division as a polygraph examiner in the Houston (TX) Field Office. In 2006, Wind was transferred to the Dignitary Protective Division in Washington, D.C., where he was assigned to the Secretary of Treasury detail. Later that same year, he was reassigned to the Vice-Presidential Protective Division. From August 2010 until April 2015, Wind worked in the Human Resources and Training - Recruiting Division in Washington, D.C. In 2015, he was transferred to the Oklahoma City Field Office where he is the supervisor for the United States Secret Service Cyber Fraud Task Force. In addition, Wind has a collateral duty as the Special Emphasis Program Manager for American Indians/Alaska Natives in the Secret Service. He has served in this role since 2010.

William Wind is a 1993 graduate of Eureka College and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University in 1999. Wind is currently enrolled in the Naval Postgraduate School master’s degree Program for Homeland Security and Defense in Monterey, CA.

In addition to spending time with his family, Wind is active within the Yardeka Muscogee (Creek) Indian Community and is a current commissioner on the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police Commission where he was nominated by Principal Chief David Hill. William is married to Emma, and they have one daughter, Ashley, in addition to three granddaughters, Mallory, Maycee, and Maeson

The University of Tulsa is now hosting monthly InfraGard Oklahoma Members Alliance meetings to support the in-person attendance of members in the Tulsa area.

Meetings will use the IT Training Room, RM 101, Zink Hall, noted on the campus map as #43. Zink Hall is a short walk from the visitor parking lots across our beautiful campus. 

Parking is available at any Guest/Visitor lot on campus. The closest lots are the Harvard Commuter Lot and the Reynolds Lot, both on the east side of campus, accessible from 8th and Harvard. See the campus map for details.
